Aziz Tavil

Aziz Tavil was born in Istanbul in 1959. He entered the State Academy of Fine Arts in 1980 and studied painting and sculpture. After graduating from the Graphic Department at the Academy, he devoted himself to sculpture. He also worked as a cultural tour guide. Tavil creates sculpture using woods and metals. In 2002, he had his first solo exhibition within the Context Europe Festival in Vienna. Since then, he has held solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. Tavil currently lives and works in Antalya.
