Bahri Genç was born in Erzurum in 1963. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Art at Mimar Sinan University in 1992, where he also prepared his artistic adequacy thesis. Since 1987, Genç has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. In 1995, he was invited to Düsseldorf to paint on Turkey by the Nazar Holiday Company. He taught painting at some private schools between 1997 and 2003. Some of his works can be seen in various museums such as Press Museum, Izmir State Painting & Sculpture Museum and Balıkesir Devrim Erbil Museum. As of today, Genç teaches at the Department of Industrial Design of Mimar Sinan University. Since 2007, he has served as the second director in the International Association of Plastic Arts. He continues to work at his workshop in Istanbul.
