Barış Göktürk was born in Ankara in 1982. He studied animation and graduated from Parsons School of Design New York with Honors in 2005. In 2004, he attended Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art, Bretagne for a year. He completed his master’s degree at Hunter College in New York in 2010. Göktürk has had solo exhibitions and has participated in group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has received several national and international scholarships and awards. Currently, he lives and works in Brooklyn.
