Begüm Yamanlar was born in Istanbul in 1989. She studied Photography and Video at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul. She is currently pursuing her Master′s degree at Sabancı University. Her work focuses on multi perspective and the boundary between still and moving images in order to express the inner subjective experiences in different spatiotemporal conditions whether in natural or cultural places. Yamanlar has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.
