Beril Gür was born in Izmir in 1989. After graduating from Galata Academy of Photography in Istanbul in 2010, she studied at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning as well as the Department of Environmental Engineering of Istanbul Technical University. She then completed her Master′s degree on architectural design at her alma mater in 2016. Gür attended several photography master classes and workshops in Istanbul. In 2012, she worked as an assistant of Jason Eskenazi, who was the curator in the International Bursa Photo Festival. Gür has participated in numerous group exhibitions and given her talks and presentation in Turkey and abroad. She is a co-founder of “artık artist.” Gür currently lives and works in Istanbul.
