Betül Demir Karakaya graduated from the Ceramic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 2002. In 1998, she went to Russia to study at Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry. In 2010, she completed her Master′s degree at the Ceramic Department in the Institute of Fine Arts at Anadolu University. In 2012, Karakaya held her solo exhibition "Büyülü Tınılar" at Soyut Art Gallery in Ankara. In the same year, she received an art award at Anadolu University. She has participated in many group exhibitions and biennials in Turkey and abroad. Karakaya currently continues her doctoral degree in ceramics at Anadolu University.
