Cem Dinlenmiş was born in Istanbul in 1985. He started drawing in his childhood under the influence of his father who is a painter and graphic designer. After finishing at Kadıköy Anadolu High School, he attended the Department of Graphic Design at Marmara University. In 2005, he was attracted by “Bant”, a fresh popular culture magazine, and began making monthly editorial illustrations. In 2005, he was invited to draw for “PENGUEN” by the distinguished Turkish cartoonist Selçuk Erdem. At the age of 20, Dinlenmiş became the youngest staff cartoonist whose work was being published every week in the centerfold of the magazine “PENGUEN”. In 2006, he began drawing political comic series "Her Şey Olur".
Dinlenmiş has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. In 2008, he participated in the collective exhibition "Connect the Dots" in Hafriyat Karaköy. He also participated in the exhibition "Young Istanbul" which was held in Stockholm Färgfabriken. He joined the group exhibition “Intersection III” which was held at X-ist gallery. In 2010, Dinlenmiş had his first solo exhibition at X-ist gallery. He was one of six cartoonists who worked for the cartoon project “Istanbul Zomnie 2066”, which was published in Barcelona. His first book “Her Şey Olur” (2010) has been published by Can Gençlik publications. He launched the website of T-shirt project “AmmaveLakin” with Duygu Atacan. Currently, Dinlenmiş lives and works in Istanbul.
