Cengiz Tekin was born in Diyarbakır in 1977. In the 1990’s, he decided to study fine arts at a university. He interprets the Kurdish question in his own inimitable manner. His works constantly allude to potential crisis. He uses the language of art in a rebellious way without expressing actual rebellion. Tekin had his first solo exhibition in Diyarbakır in 2007. He has participated in many group exhibitions and art fairs in Turkey and aboard. Currently, Tekin continues to work in Diyarbakır.
