Çiğdem Erbil Marangoz was born in Bursa in 1961. Between 1978 and 1984 she studied painting at the carpet workshop of Özdemir Altan and Zekai Ormancı in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan University. She completed her master’s degree in 1984. In 1984-1989, Marangoz continued her work on gravure and serigraphy at a private workshop while she gave painting classes. Since 1989, she has taught at the Serigraphy program in the Vocational School of Higher Education of Yıldız Technical University. Marangoz has had 11 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions.
