Deniz Onur Erman

Deniz Onur Erman was born in 1978. She graduated from the Ceramic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 2001. After completing her master’s degree at her alma mater, she went to Cardiff in England, and completed her M.A. Attachment program at the Ceramic Department in the School of Art and Design of University of Wales Institute in 2005. She then completed her doctoral degree in proficiency in arts at the Ceramics Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Hacettepe University in 2009. In 2006, Onur Erman participated in the Ph.D. Student group exhibition at Hacettepe University; and in the “Movement” group exhibition at Anadolu University Art Gallery in Eskişehir. In the same year, she received first prize in the 4th Cultural Industrial Design Competition, which was organized in Ankara. In 2009, Onur Erman had her second solo exhibition “Once Upon the Time” at Hacettepe University. Currently, she teaches at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Gazi University in Ankara.
