Elif Çelebi was born in Montreal in 1973. She graduated from the Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1995. She completed master’s degree at her alma mater in 1998. In the next year, she started teaching at the Faculty of Fine Art of her alma mater. Çelebi has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions and performances in Turkey and abroad. She works mostly with video and installation. Currently, Çelebi continues to work as an Assistant Professor at Marmara University.
