Emine Ceylan was born in Istanbul in 1955. After graduating from the Dentistry Faculty at Marmara University, she worked as a dentist until 1999. She started focusing on photographs in 1984, and became a photographer. Ceylan published her story book “Kış Yolculuğu” (Norgunk, 1988) and photograph books “Fotoğraflar” (1997) and “İklimler” (1998). Since 1986, she has had many solo exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Currently, Ceylan continues to live and work in Istanbul.
