Emre Senan

Emre Senan was born in Konya in 1954. He graduated from the School of Applied Industrial Arts at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul.  After working as an assistant at the same school, Senan began working in the private sector. He designed book covers and illustrations for many publications. He took part in founding of many advertising agencies such as Yorum, Markom, Reklamcılık, Klan and Euro RSCG Turkey, where he worked as a partner and creative director. Since 1980 Senan has created designs, films and contemporary arts. He has also drawn cartoons and illustrations for daily newspapers. Senan published a book entitled "Karakatür" (Metin publications). He is a board member of the Grafikerlek Vocational Association and the Association of Animation Filmmakers where he served as director.

Senan has held over 13 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has attended various international competitions of graphic design, cartoon and animation and won many awards. His works can be seen not only in public collections but also private collections in many countries. He has also served as a jury member for several national and international competitions. In 2005 he established the Emre Senan Design Foundation with Prof. Ayşegül İzer. In 2007 Senan founded his own design and consulting firm. He also continues teaching at Mimar Sinan University.
