Ercan Akın was born in Izmir in 1979. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 2008. In 2009, he was invited to the International Travelling Biennial in Teheran. Since 2009, Akın has had several solo exhibitions, and participated in many group exhibitions. Currently, he lives and works in Tokyo.
