Ercan Arslan was born in 1969. Since 1980, he has been living in Berlin. After completing high school in Berlin in 1989, he studied art at the North-London College (NLC) from 1992 to 1994. He co-edited several literary and art magazines in Germany for a long time. Since 1984, Arslan has had more than 70 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Berlin, Frankfurt/Oder, London, Berlin, Utrecht, and Istanbul. Since 1996, he has participated in numerous art performances in Berlin and elsewhere. Every year, he spends a two-month period in the Anatolian mountain village of Agcasar, where he is intensively involved with land-art and sculpturing. Currently, Arslan lives and works in Berlin.
