Esin Turan was born in Konya in 1970. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in Ankara in 1992. She continued her study at Academy of Fine Art in Vienna under Prof. Bruno Gironcoli between 1992 and 1997. She was a guest student at the University of Applied Art, Vienna and studied with Wander Bertoni between 1992 and 1993. Turan worked and organized workshops at Verein Kiddy & Co. in Vienna between 1993 and 1999. She then had her workshops at vhs in Vienna between 1997 and 1999. Since 1999, she has taught and organized workshops at the Interface International Education Center in Vienna. Turan has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions and workshops not only in Turkey and Austria, but also in Germany, Spain, the USA, and Japan. Since 2009, Turan has continued her doctoral degree at Angewante Kunst, Vienna with Prof. Christian Reder. Her works can be seen in the collection of Austria Ministry of Culture, Vienna municipality and many private collections. As of today, she lives and continues to work in Vienna.
