Esra Meral Demircan

Esra Meral Demircan was born in Erzurum in 1975. She graduated from the Department of Paper Technology (chemistry) at Kocaeli University in 1997. She then studied painting and graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 2003. She completed her master’s degree at her alma mater in 2007. Between 2006 and 2008, she worked as a research assistant at the Painting Department in the Faculty of Art Design of Doğus University.  Demircan has had several solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey. She has also attended some international exhibitions, conferences, and panels. Her works can be seen in the collection of Devrim Erbil Modern Arts Museum and the original print and painting collection of Doğus University. In 2012, she will participate in the group exhibition “Bir”, which will be held in the Armaggan Art & Design Gallery in Istanbul.
