Esra Rotthoff

Esra Rotthoff was born in Berlin in 1981. She graduated from Berlin University of the Arts, and was honored for the Meisterschüler (Ph.D. in Art). She is an artist who creates a unique expression of her impressions on life through the means of photography. She has held many solo exhibitions including "Muse /Fling" at the Empire Project (2013) in Istanbul, and has participated in many group exhibitions. Rotthoff received numerous awards such as the Red Dot Award (2006 and 2008), the IF-Award (2008 and 2009), the Canon Professional Award (2009, Sappi Award (2010), and Gute Plakate Award (2012). She has been nominated twice for the Deutscher Designpreis (2009 and 2010). Rotthoff currently lives and works in Berlin.
