Funda Susamoğlu was born in Ankara in 1978. She graduated from the Ceramic Department at Hacettepe University in 2001. She completed her master’s degree at her alma mater in 2004. Between 2008 and 2009, she studied at the Ceramics Department of UWIC Cardiff School of Art and Design as a post graduate Erasmus student. After returning to Turkey, she completed her doctoral degree, proficiency in arts at her alma mater in 2010. Susamoğlu has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. In 2005, she received an award of merit in the ceramic section at the 66th State Painting and Sculpture Competition. In 2010, she had her solo exhibition “İşgüç / Hardwork” at the Ceramic Department of Hacettepe University in Ankara. Her works can be seen in several national and international collections. Currently, Susamoğlu continues her work and teaches at Hacettepe University.
