Prof. Ayşegül İzer

Prof. Ayşegül İzer was born in Istanbul in 1959. She graduated from the Department of Graphic Design in the Academy of Fine Arts at Sarajevo University (ALU-BIH) in 1985. She completed her master′s degree in Graphic design in 1990, and doctoral degree, proficiency in art, in 1992 at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. In 2000, she set up her own studio in Istanbul. İzer became a professor and a Head of the Department of Graphic Design of Mimar Sinan Fine Art University. She is a co-founder of ESDF and a member of Turkish Society of Graphic Designers (GMK). Prof. İzer has had many solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions, seminars, and workshops in Turkey and abroad. She has also served as a jury member in several events, and has published many articles on graphic design. Prof. İzer has received 11 awards for her work. She currently continues her work in Istanbul.
