Gül Erali was born in Istanbul. After finishing Austrian High School in Istanbul, she studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and Linz Academy of Fine Arts as a student of Prof. Günther Praschak between 1976 and 1980. Erali continued her study at the Kröninger Keramik, the workshop of Jörk van Manz in Germany. In 1981, she graduated from the Ceramic Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts as a student of Prof. Sadi Diren. Erali’s works can be seen in several art galleries and private and national collections in Turkey and other countries. As of today, she continues her work in Istanbul. Erali is a member of the Turkish Ceramic Association and International Plastic Arts.
