Gülin Hayat Topdemir was born in Istanbul in 1976. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University. She completed her master′s degree at her alma mater. In 2007 she received Nuri Iyem Painting Award, Selection Committee Special Price. Her works can be seen in the collection of the 21C Museum (Kentucky, USA) and private collections in Europe, Middle East and Turkey. In 2017 her work has been acquired by the Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow (MOCAK). Topdemir currently continues her work in Istanbul.
