Gürcan Yurt

Gürcan Yurt was born in Ankara in 1973. His first published his caricatures in several magazines including Gırgır, Avni, Hıbır, Deli and LeMan in 1992. In 1997 he started drawing "Robinson Crusoe & Cuma" for L-Manyak magazine. In 1998, Yurt graduated from the Department of Public Relations and Advertisement at Eskişehir Anadolu University. He then worked at several advertising agencies for three years. After his military service in Sivas in 1999-2000, Yurt created the series "Cabbar Baba 0070" in 2001. In 2005 he established the team “LeMan PaF” and worked with them for 2.5 years. Yurt worked as an editor for O-HAA magazine (2007) and Koala magazine (2008). He has published 12 books including "Böyle Reklam Olur Mu?" (with Volkan Hoşcan, 2009). Yurt drew "Küpheli" series for Koala magazine. Since 2011 Yurt has drawn caricatures for Penguen magazine. He currently continues his work in Istanbul.
