Hakan Akçura was born in 1962 in Turkey. In 2005, he settled in Stockholm where he currently lives. Since 1991, he has been producing art works in diverse areas such as poetry, painting, performance and video. In 1995, he attended the 4th Istanbul Biennial. He has had four solo exhibitions in Istanbul and Stockholm and participated in many group exhibitions. In 2008, Akçura published “Open Flux,” an artist’s manifesto.
