Hüseyin Zeray was born in Sivas in 1953. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Izmir Dokuz Eylul University. He had an interest in painting when he was a primary school student. In 1981, he participated in the Turgut Pura Painting Competition and received an Honorary Award. This success motivated him to pursue painting. Zeray usually paints Anatolian landscapes and Anatolian working women using oil painting and pastel crayon. He has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. Zeray currently continues painting at his workshop in Antalya.
