Sena Başöz

Sena Başöz was born and raised in the Aegean part of Turkey. After graduating from Bogazici University in 2002, she received her master′s degree at Bard College, NY in film/video in 2010. She attended a 3 month residency in Linz, Austria in 2010 and received a scholarship from Bard College during her studies. Her works have been shown in various places including DEPO, Sanatorium, Manzara Istanbul, Daire Sanat, Ekav Gallery, Siemens Sanat, Dieschönestadt Gallery, Badgast, Salzamt, and LAXART. One of her work was screened at the Crossing Europe Film Festival. Başöz is currently working on her doctoral degree in Art History at Istanbul Technical University. She works as a lecturer of contemporary art at Bogazici University. Başöz is a recipient of the 2014 TCF Cultural Exchange Fellowship.
