İlyas Göçmen

İlyas Göçmen was born in Edirne in 1944. He became a member of IFSAK (the Society of Istanbul Amateur Photography and Cinema) in the 1980s and started taking photographs. His photographs have been published in various albums and books in Turkey and abroad. In 1984 he received the title of "AFIAP" by The International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). Göçmen has attended many photography competitions and won more than 50 awards.

Göçmen held his solo exhibition in 1983 and 1985 and participated in over 150 national and international group exhibitions and shows. He was one of the founding members of a photographic group FOG, which was founded in 1985. His award-winning photographs were published in an album "Birikimler" in 1989. Göçmen currently works as a photojournalist and serves as a jury member in various national and international photographic competitions.
