Ender Güzey was born in Istanbul in 1951. He studied painting and sculpture in the atelier of Prof. Mac Zimmermann at the Munich Fine Arts Academy between 1969 and 1973. Between 1973 and 1975, he completed his master′s degree with outstanding artistic achievement at his alma mater. He had his first exhibitions in Munich. He then worked as an assistant of Prof. Zimmermann for 2 years. Between 1978 and 1982, Güzey worked as an Associate Professor and as the chairman of the Department of Fine Arts and Creativity at Mönchengladbach University. Between 1982 and 1985, he produced many seminal art works at his studio in Ammersee, in Muchich and founded and managed the Herrsching Art Gallery "Kunst Galerie Herrsching". He has had many solo exhibitions. He has also prepared many group exhibitions with international renowned names in Contemporary Arts not only in Germany but also Europe.
Güzey taught performance at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan University (1990-1991) and Yeditepe University (1996-1997). He also gave his support to the foundation of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Istanbul Yeditepe University in Büyükada and of the Faculty of Fine Arts Bodrum / Mugla University. In 2006, he taught performance and objects at the USA Montana University and held a year-long exhibition tour in the U.S. entitled "Ender Güzey Fire Born". In 2007 and 2008, he founded a private museum, “Ender Güzey Holistic Art Museum”, in an historical building which is almost 200 years old. In 2009, he founded two exhibition halls at Bodrum Center and in Kadikalesi under the name of “Güzey Art Lounge”. Between 1972 and 2011, Güzey prepared more than one hundred exhibitions. Since 1982, Güzey has continued his work in Munich, Istanbul and Bordum as a freelancer artist.
