Evrim Kavcar was born in 1976. She graduated from the Department of Sculpture in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 2000. She pursued her master’s degree at San Francisco Art Institute with a Fulbright scholarship. Since 2007, she has continued her doctoral degree at her alma mater, focusing on the “fantastic” that is inherent in uncanny situations & objects encountered in everyday life. Kavcar has had several solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and countries in Europe. Currently, Kavcar serves as a lecturer at Mimar Sinan University.
