Fırat Engin was born in Ankara in 1982. He graduated from the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 2004. He completed his master′s degree in 2007 and doctoral degree, proficiency in Art in 2012 at his alma mater. From 2008 to 2009, Engin studied as an Erasmus student at Ecole Nationale Supéerieure D′Art de Bourges in Paris. He has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has also attended symposiums and conferences. Engin is a founder of Kitschen Contemporary Art Initiative with Ekin Kılıç & Elif Varol Ergen. Engin currently continues his work in Ankara and Istanbul.
