Fırat Erdim studied architecture and graduated from Cooper Union, New York in 2001. After completing his master′s degree in Architecture at the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville in 2007, he worked as a lecturer there until 2008. In 2009, Erdim worked as a teaching artist at Marwen Foundation in Chicago. From 2008 to 2012, he taught as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Since 2012, Erdim has worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Izmir University of Economics in Izmir. Erdim′s work is based in a practice engaged in architecture as well as sculpture and often inspired by observation of specific ancient and post-industrial landscape. He has held several solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in the US and Turkey.
