Prof. Kadri Özayten

Kadri Özayten was born in Antalya in 1947. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at the State Academy of Fine Arts in 1973. He then worked at the same faculty as a tutor. In 1977, he went to Salzburg Summer Academy to study lithograph through an Austrian government fellowship. Özayten has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions and biennials in Turkey and abroad. He has received many awards including a mention award in the 50th painting competition (1973) and an award of merit in the 39th State Painting and Sculpture Exhibition (1978). His works can be seen in many national and international public and private collections. Özayten currently lives and works in Istanbul.
