Kerem Ozan Bayraktar was born in Istanbul in 1984. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 2007. Between 2009 an 2010, he studied Fine Arts as an exchange student at Newcastle University, School of Art and Cultures. In 2011, he completed his master′s degree at his alma mater.
Bayraktar′s work is based on the relationship between the fictional and the historic, cultural and psychological. Computer images, photographs and animations are used by the artist interchangeably, blurring the distinctions between these media. In 2009, he had his first solo exhibition. Since then, he has had many solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions. Since 2010, Bayraktar has been a member of “Sanat Tanımı Topluluğu" and exhibited his works in their art activities in Turkey and abroad. He founded the "System Studies" with Seref Erol and Yagiz Ozgen, and exhibited "Godel′s Proof Studies, Ozgen′s Studio, Istanbul in 2012-2013. In 2009, Bayraktar gave his lecture "Representation in Digital Space" at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mersin University in 2009; and "Systems in Arts" with Yagiz Ozgen at the same Faculty in 2011. Bayraktar has received several awards for his works. He currently continues his doctoral degree at Marmara University.
