Levent Kunt was born in Ankara in 1978. He produces installations and participative works that deal with social processes in the context of modern urban life and its socio-political organization.
Kunt creates situations that can trigger changes in the urban structure or its perception, taking the city and the public space as a starting point for his artistic research. Many of his works that take place in the public space involve passers-by, letting them become witnesses, activists, street artists or dancers. By creating individual maps, he visualizes systems and networks of civil movements or communities and their place in the city. Kunt currently lives and works in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
