Mehmet Fahracı was born in Hatay in 1980. He graduated from the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mustafa Kemal University in 2005. In the same year, he studied sculpture at Volda University in Sweden for 6 months as an Erasmus student. Fahracı has participated in many group exhibitions such as “Yerolmyan” exhibition, Diyarbakır Art Center, Diyarbakir (2010), “Second International Antakya Biennial”, Antakya (2010), “Ateşin Düştüğü Yer” Human Rights Foundation of Turkey, 20th Anniversary Exhibition, Depo, Istanbul (2011), “Ki / İle / Gibi, Parçalar Arasında”, CDA Projects, Istanbul (2011), and “30th Contemporary Artists Exhibition”, Aksanat, Istanbul (2011). Fahracı was one of the semi-finalists for Full Art Prize 2012, which was the first contemporary art prize of Turkey. Currently, he continues his master’s degree at his alma mater.
