Rahşan Düren was born in Flensburg, Germany in 1975. After graduating from a high school of Rosenberg Institute in St. Gallen, Switzerland, she graduated from the Medical School of the University of Cologne in Germany. She obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychiatry at Marmara University. Dr. Düren currently works as psychiatrist at American Hospital in Istanbul. Besides her career as psychiatrist, Dr. Düren is a painter and installation artist. She has held many solo exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She currently continues painting in Istanbul.
