Volkan Diyaroğlu was born in Istanbul in 1982. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University. He then received Promoe Scholarship and studied at the Valencia San Carlos Fine Arts Faculty at Universidad Politecnica from 2002 to 2004.
In 2006, he was invited to Paris, France to prepare an exhibition in Abbaye de Maubuisson. At the same time he had his biggest exhibition that he realized in Espacio Forja in Valencia with the organization of the La Sala Naranja. Diyaroğlu had the Cite International des Arts Scholarship in Paris between 2007 and 2008. In 2008, he won one of the most important prizes in Spain, the "XXXV Bancaja Painting, Sculpture and Digital Art Prize". He exhibited his paintings in the IVAM Museum. In the same year, Diyaroğlu also received a scholarship from the National Museum of George Enescu for the Transfer Project in Tescani, Romania.
Since 2003, he has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey, Spain, France, UK, Emirates, Romania, and Japan. His works can be seen in numerous galleries, foundations and private collections in the world. They have also been published in many magazines in Spain, France and Turkey. Currently, Diyaroğlu continues his work in Istanbul, Paris and Valencia.
