Kainat Barkan Pajonk was born in Eskişehir. After graduating from the Painting Department at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1960, she started working as a member of the technical staff at the Istanbul Municipality. Later, she founded a workshop for advertisement and decoration works. She taught painting and art history at Beşiktaş High School for Girls and Cibali Middle School for Girls. She also worked at the Istanbul City Theater and some big firms.
Since 1960, Barkan Pajonk has had numerous solo exhibitions, and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Her paintings can be seen in many public and private collections in Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, the US, Japan, Russia, Italy, England, Austria, and Malaysia. She has received many awards for her works. Currently, she continues painting in Istanbul.
