Kamer Önder

Kamer Önder was born in Trabzon in 1954. During her high school years, she started painting under the guidance of her arts and painting teacher. In the following years, she painted local landscape with a naive approach, and transferred her feelings in the poem book titled “Drawing”. In 1989, Önder published her book “Women of the Guttered Valley”, in which she depicted the way of living of the local Black Sea people. In 1989, she took painting lessons, and worked with different masters. She also undertook research at various museums. Önder has had more than 18 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey.
