Kayıhan Keskinok was born in Izmir in 1923. He studied painting in the workshop of Refik Ekipman and Malik Aksel at the Painting Department of Gazi Educational Institute and graduated in 1945. He had his first solo exhibition in Ankara in 1956. In 1960, he then studied at Lausanne Ecole des Beaux Art with a fellowship of Switzerland Government, and worked as an assistant. After returning to Turkey, Keskinok taught at the Painting Department of Gazi Educational Institute between 1963 and 1968. He served as a set designer and director in TRT Ankara Television Artistic Service. Keskinok has had more than 60 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has received nine awards. His works can be seen in national and international public and private collections including Izmir Museum, Ankara Museum, the Museum of Artists’ Colony in Pociteli and the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Since 1982, he has directed the Kayıhan Keskinok Workshop in the Art Production Association.
