Koray Ariş

Koray Ariş was born in Adana in 1944. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, Sadi Çalık Studio. He worked at the Emilio Greco Sculpture Studio in Rome. Between 1975 and 1977 he worked as an instructor at the Sculpture Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts. Ariş founded his own studios first in Rome and then in Istanbul. He has had 20 solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions and biennials not only in Turkey but also abroad. He won prizes from the State Sculpture Exhibition (1975) and from Enka Sculpture Competition (1983).
