Latif Demirci was born in Istanbul in 1961. In 1975, he published his first caricature in “Gırgır” magazine. He drew caricatures for “Mikrop” (1978-1979), “Gırgır”, and “Fırt” magazines in the past 10 years. He was one of the founders of “Hıbır” magazine which was published in 1989. He then published his caricatures in “HBR Maymun” magazine. Besides caricature magazines, Demirci has also drawn and published in many newspapers and political weekly magazines such as “Yeni Gündem”, “Nokta”, “Panorama”, “Gazete Pazar”, and “Söz”. In 1990’s, he has had his solo cartoon exhibitions in Turkey, Holland, France, and Finland. His works have also been used for book covers, posters, and cartoon films. Currently, Demirci continues drawing in Hürriyet newspaper.
