Menekşe Çam

Menekşe Çam was born in Izmir in 1966. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Education at Dokuz Eylül University. She has been teaching visual arts for twenty four years. Besides teaching, Çam has painted in water color as well as oil color for a long time. She has held many solo painting exhibitions and participated in various group painting exhibitions. In recent years, Çam concentrates on drawing cartoons and caricatures. She held her first solo cartoon and caricature exhibition in 2009. She has participated in many group caricature exhibitions and international caricature contests, and has received many awards for her caricatures. Her caricatures have been published in many international humor magazines and art journals. Çam currently continues her work in Izmir.
