Merve Çanakçı

Merve Çanakçı was born in Ordu in 1982. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 2004. She generally creates her works using mixed media on printed, used or defective fabrics. She also uses other techniques including photography, stitching and installation.  She has participated in many group exhibitions and performances in Istanbul and Washington D.C. Currently, Çanakçı lives and works in Berlin.
