Merve Çaşkurlu was born in Istanbul in 1981. In 2004, she graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Between 2007 and 2009, she worked as a trainee at the workshop of painting techniques in Paris, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. She also worked as an art adviser at the Association Ariane-Essor and participated in different exhibition organizations. Çaşkurlu has participated in many group exhibitions in Paris, Cagiari (Italy), National Museum in Armenia. Her two works can be seen in the collection of the National Gallery in Armenia. Currently, Çaşkurlu is continuing her master’s degree and works as an assistant in the Department of Visual Communication Design at Yeditepe University. In 2012, she will participate in the group exhibition “Bir”, which will be held in the Armaggan Art & Design Gallery in Istanbul.
