Merve Şendil was born in Ankara in 1982. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 2004.
Between 2004 and 2007, she worked as a studio artist at the K2 Contemporary Art Center. In 2007, Şendil founded the "Underscene Project". She has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions and workshops in Turkey and abroad.
