Metin Yergin was born in Istanbul in 1966. He graduated from the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1998. Since then, he has had several solo exhibitions, and participated in numerous group exhibitions and symposiums in Turkey and abroad. Yergin is a member of UNESCO AIAP, and the Association of Sculptors in Turkey. He has received many awards for his works. Currently, he continues his work in Istanbul.
