Murad Sezer

Murad Sezer was born in Germany in 1969, but was raised in Istanbul. After graduating from the Department of Journalism at Istanbul University, he worked as a sport photographer in the Turkish media for 10 years before joining the Associated Press in 1996. As a part of the Associated Press, he won the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography in 2005 with a photo of US Marines. In 2009, Sezer started working as a chief photographer for Turkey in Reuters News.
