Musa Gümüş

Musa Gümüş was born in Gaziantep in 1963. He graduated from the Department of Business Administration and Management at Marmara University. He started drawing caricatures when he was a high school student. In 1989-1994 he worked as a caricaturist for Hibir magazine. He has also draw cartoons for different magazines such as Bando and Nokta. In 1994-1998 he worked for HBR Maymun magazine. In 1997 Gümüş exhibited his cartoons in the exhibition "Neighbors" in Strasbourg. In 1998-1999 he published a magazine Dinozor with his friends and drew columns such as "Babalar ve Oğulları" and "Kinci Cumhuriyetçiler" and cover cartoons.

Since 2001 Gümüş has taught caricature and illustration at MEF Schools. He has also participated in many cartoon competitions and has received 21 national and international awards including the Grand Prix 2006 at the Cartoon World Festival in Porto and the Golden Hat Cartoon Festival Knokke Heist in Belgium in 2009. In 2015 he received an achievement award in the 32nd Aydın Doğan International Caricature Competition. Gümüş is a member of The Association of Cartoonists. He currently continues his work in Istanbul.
