Mustafa Seven

Mustafa Seven was born in Sivas in 1974. He started his career as a photo journalist in Sabah Newspaper Magazine Group. He continued it with Hürriyet Magazine Group, Gazete Pazar and Milliyet before becoming a photography editor of Akşam Newspaper. Seven established his photography studio, G.I.F. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and festivals, and held a solo exhibition called “Tek” in 2013. In 2017 he held another solo exhibition "ArTriangle Şehir Hikâyeleri" at the 42 Maslak Art! SPACE Gallery. Seven has been awarded in many national and international photography contests. He has published two books "İnstanbul: Instagram′da İstanbul Foroğrafları (Istanbul Photographs in Instagram" (Istanbul: Inkılap Kitabevi, 2014) and “Sokak Fotoğrafçılığı (Street Photography)” (Istanbul: Inkılap Kitabevi, 2014). Seven currently continues to work as a freelance photo journalist in Istanbul. He also gives workshops on street photography and works on projects together with universities and other educational institutions.
